The AT nationally and internationally

 

There are an estimated 3000 AT teachers world-wide. They are affiliated to one or both of 2 large international organisations:

• Alexander Technique International (ATI)
• Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT) and Affiliated Societies (International Affiliated Societies of Teachers of the Alexander Technique)

 

Our teachers are members of ATI. ATI comprises regional offices located in 13 countries.

 

There are 260 teachers and 4 training centres in Switzerland. The Swiss National health insurance, recognising the benefits of the AT, partially refunds the cost of AT sessions for patients with certain conditions. In Germany there are over 300 teachers and 12 training schools.

 

There are about 50 teachers in Austria. Two training routes are available, one in Linz with Melissa Matson, the other in Vienna with Michael Parkinson.
